During an inspection in response to concerns
During the inspection we spoke with two people using the service, the provider and three staff. People told us they were satisfied with the infection control standards of the practice and were happy with the overall service provided. One person said "I wouldn't go anywhere else." Another said "they are all good at their jobs, I have no complaints."
There were effective systems in place to reduce the risk and spread of infection. The surgery rooms were clean, hygienic and well maintained. Staff wore personal protective equipment during treatments to minimise cross infection risks and the Department of Health infection control guidelines were being followed. A separate decontamination room had been incorporated into the design of the practice to further reduce cross infection risks.
