During a routine inspection
People told us that they felt fully involved in their treatment. The told us that the dentist always discussed the treatment options with them before a decision about treatment was made. Every person we spoke with was happy with the treatment and care they received. Comments included, "We think it is excellent" and "Brilliant".
People received treatment that met their needs. People confirmed that they had regular check ups that included an examination of their gums and soft tissue. Treatment was fully recorded and records were kept of people's medical information. People were able to get an appointment when they needed.
Procedures were in place to make sure that the practice was kept clean and hygienic. There were clear processes in place to make sure that dental equipment and instruments were thoroughly cleaned and sterilised between patients.
People using the service felt that the staff were courteous and friendly. Records confirmed that staff were trained and supported to provide people with the care they needed.
The provider had a range of systems in place to check the quality of care people received. People's views were sought through regular surveys and through a 'patients' forum'. A complaints procedure was in place and complaints were listened to and acted upon.
