During a routine inspection
The individual treatment/support plan was designed to meet the individual's needs in the light of their assessment. Comments from the people we contacted by telephone included, "They give me the information on drugs and its effects. Really good service and I really enjoyed it.'
Staff received appropriate training, to ensure that the support they provided was delivered safely.
The service had a number of systems in place to make sure that the provider assessed and monitored its delivery of care and support. This included audits of people's support records, management plans, health & safety checks and risk monitoring.
We saw that KCA had a complaints policy and procedure. The complaint leaflet procedure was in the reception area so that it was available to staff and people who used the service.
