During a routine inspection
We saw people arriving at the surgery and being given a warm greeting that provided a relaxed environment. Staff explained that this was the best way to make people more comfortable and less nervous. People told us that although they were nervous about any dental treatment, they would not want to go to any other practice.
We saw that there were systems and routines in place to reduce the risk and spread of infection at the surgery. We were shown and observed how decontamination of equipment was undertaken, ensuring the protection of patients was supported.
Staff were knowledgeable about their patients as most had been registered for many years. We saw that staff considered the full well being of people and were therefore able to offer appropriate care and support to people using services. People we spoke with told us they were regularly asked for their comments but told us they were always happy with the services they received.
