During a routine inspection
Care records showed that comprehensive notes had been made about people's assessed oral healthcare needs and of their treatment for each time they had attended an appointment.
The practice carried out appropriate infection control processes that met the best practice recommendations in the Department of Health's published guidelines for primary care dentists.
The premises had been totally refurbished and were bright and clean. The furnishings and equipment used to furnish the practice were new and modern in style. The design of the two surgeries and the dedicated decontamination room ensured people's safety from the risks of cross infection. The installation of a fire alarm system and regular fire alarm checks and evacuation drills ensured the premises were safe from the risks of fire.
