We also took information from other sources to help us understand the views of people who used the service, which included patient satisfaction survey and staff meeting minutes.
The patients we spoke with told us they thought they received good dental treatment from the dentists. One patient told us 'I never used to come to the dentist but I don't mind coming to this one.' Another patient we spoke with told us 'Everything is explained to me, it's perfect.'
The practice was following appropriate guidance in relation to infection control and the staff were well trained and supported.
Staff had sufficient knowledge regarding safeguarding people from abuse to enable them to report their concerns. A member of staff we spoke with told us 'I enjoy working here, everyone's friendly.' The practice manager told us, 'I know that staff will come and speak to me about any issues. I make sure staff needs are heard.'
The practice manager had systems in place to assess and monitor the service and to effectively deal with complaints.
