During a routine inspection
People's needs were assessed and treatment plans were drawn up to meet individual needs. Treatment options were discussed and people were informed about costs.
There was a separate decontamination room that had clearly labelled 'dirty' to 'clean' zones. Sinks were clearly labelled as 'rinsing' and 'scrubbing' sinks. There was a copy of the infection control policy on the wall in case staff needed guidance. We saw a demonstration of the decontamination process and this was in line with their policy. All clinical taps were flushed daily.
The person we spoke with said that they were "impressed" with the level of cleanliness of the surgery. On the day of the visit the surgery was clean and well maintained.
Appropriate checks were carried out to staff before they started work. There was a recruitment and selection policy and this was being followed.
