During a routine inspection
One patient told us that they had been involved in discussions with their dentist about the treatments available to them and the costs involved. We saw records that confirmed that patients had been involved in decisions about their treatment.
Staff were able to describe the process and actions to take to maintain the safety and well being of the patients they saw.
We saw that the surgery and clinical areas were clean and hygienic with appropriate dental equipment in place. Staff were able to describe systematic routines for maintaining standards of cleanliness in the surgery.
We looked at three staff files and talked to staff on duty. We found that staff had been provided with regular training by the practice.
There were processes and audits in place to review the quality of the service provided for patients.
