During a routine inspection
People using the service told us they were "very happy" with the way they were treated by staff at John Pounds House. One person told us the staff were "very good and caring". Staff told us that key worker meetings were held every month and the support plans were reviewed every six months. The support plans that we saw had been reviewed regularly and also contained minutes of the key worker meetings.
The building was well maintained with carpet throughout. We saw a number of records related to the safety and suitability of the premises during our visit. These included testing for asbestos, fire safety, water, gas and electrical tests.
Staff told us they were encouraged to obtained professional qualifications. We looked at some staff files and saw training records and supervision notes. Some of the training that staff had attended recently included diversity, challenging behaviour, safeguarding and 1st aid.
