Updated 11 November 2024
We had previously undertaken a comprehensive inspections of Mrs E Dimitrijevic – Dental Surgery on 11 January 2024, with follow up inspections on 19 March 2024 and 9 August 2024, under Section 60 of the Health and Social Care Act 2008 as part of our regulatory functions and using our previous methodology. We found the registered provider was not providing well-led care and was in breach of Regulation 17 Good Governance of the Health and Social Care Act 2008 (Regulated Activities) Regulations 2014. We undertook a follow-up on-site assessment on 10 January 2025. This was carried out to review the actions taken by the registered provider to improve the quality of care and to assess whether the practice was meeting legal requirements. During our follow-up assessment, we found the practice had met regulations. The practice had systems to manage risks. An Electrical Installation Condition Report had been completed and was recorded as satisfactory. Medicines and prescriptions were managed in line with current guidance. Instruments were stored in a sterile manner. Antimicrobial and record keeping audits were undertaken. Areas in the decontamination and treatment rooms had been decluttered. At the time of our assessment, we found that patients could access care, support and treatment when required. There was effective leadership and a culture of continuous improvement. Mrs E Dimitrijevic – Dental Surgery is in Thundersley, Essex and provides private dental care and treatment for adults and children. There was step-free access to the practice and car parking spaces, including dedicated parking for disabled people, were available near the practice. The practice had 1 treatment room, the dental team included 1 dentist and 1 dental nurse. During the assessment we spoke with the dentist and the dental nurse.
