During a routine inspection
The manager and three care staff we spoke with were aware of the importance of treating people with respect and dignity regardless of their backgrounds. They provided us with examples of how they maintained the privacy of people while providing care for them. The care provided had been assessed and appropriate care plans prepared. People and relatives said they had been consulted regarding the care provided and their choices had been responded to.
The agency had suitable arrangements for ensuring that people were safeguarded and protected from abuse. Training records indicated that staff had been provided with safeguarding training and other essential training to enable them to support people in the service. Staff said they had been provided with support and formal supervision.
Effective arrangements for monitoring the quality of care provided were in place and these included quality monitoring visits to the homes of people who use the service.
