During a routine inspection
Patients had a consultation with a nurse and a doctor, had routine tests and were explained the different options available before reaching a decision about whether to proceed.
We found that consent was gained from patients prior to undergoing treatment. Care plans were completed detailing medical history and results from routine tests. Medicines were in stock and in date and stored appropriately.
We saw that staff had received appraisals and were all registered with the relevant bodies. A range of training courses were available for staff to attend, however, attendance needed improvement.
