During a routine inspection
Staff we spoke with had an excellent knowledge of the person they worked with. They demonstrated that the service provided was very person centred which ensured that the support provided met people's individual needs and aspirations.
The person we spoke with was very positive about the care and support they received. They told us 'I am very happy with everything. The staff are there when I need them and they are helping me get my confidence back. I can now be more independent because I have their support.'
The service had policies and procedures for staff about recognising and reporting abuse and whistle blowing. Staff had been appropriately trained and knew how to raise concerns.
Staff we spoke with during the inspection were well motivated and dedicated. Staff said that they enjoyed their jobs and felt well supported by the management team. Staff described training opportunities available to them as 'very good.'
The service had produced a complaints procedure which provided people who used the service and their representatives with clear information about how to raise any concerns and of how their concerns would be managed.
