During a routine inspection
We looked at the care planning documentation for two people who used used the service to see how their care was provided and managed. We saw that not all care and support plans had been reviewed in a timely way. We talked with staff who were aware of and able to discuss people's care needs.
Staff we spoke with told us about their understanding of safeguarding vulnerable adults and the actions they would take if they had any suspicions of potential abuse.
People told us the staff were very dedicated and supported people in a professional and knowledgable way. We saw that staff supported people in a caring, considerate way. Staff told us that they had received training to help them understand how to meet the needs of people in their care.
Improvements were needed to ensure recruitment procedures were sufficiently robust with the necessary checks completed, recorded and available for inspection.
We saw the service had a system for monitoring the quality of the service, some improvements would be beneficial.
