During a routine inspection
We looked at the care records of four people who used the service. The records showed that needs were assessed and care was planned and delivered in line with their individual care plan, including support with their personal care needs and medication.
We saw the training records of care workers which showed that they were provided with training in safeguarding vulnerable adults from abuse. They were further provided with information regarding their roles and responsibilities in safeguarding and whistleblowing in the handbooks for all employees and for care workers.
One of the relatives we spoke to stated, "I feel completely confident that XX will be safe when home instead are involved."
The registered manager told us that people were provided with a group of regular care workers to ensure a consistent service. They said that there were sufficient staff numbers to meet all planned care worker visits. This was confirmed by the records we saw during the inspection.
We saw evidence of quality monitoring visits to people who used the service. The records showed that they were asked for their views about the service. Their care plans and risk assessments were reviewed to address their comments where needed.
