During a routine inspection
Patients we spoke with thought the practice was 'clean.' Systems were in place to reduce the risk and spread of infection and we observed that practices mostly followed relevant policies. The practice audited its decontamination processes and equipment as required.
Appropriate arrangements were in place to keep emergency medicines safely and enable access in the event of an emergency. All the drugs recommended by the Resuscitation Council UK were kept in the surgery and were in date.
Systems were in place to protect people from the risks of inappropriate or unsafe care and treatment and to assess and monitor the quality of services provided. The practice used surveys to ask patients for their views and these were positive. Patients we spoke with told us they would recommend the practice to others. One said 'in fact I have just referred my brother-in-law.'
