Condition of this registration relating to carrying out this regulated activity
Within 28 days of this condition taking effect, the Registered Provider must implement an effective system to ensure that: a) There is a robust system in place to identify safeguarding concerns, share them with appropriate partnership agencies, and investigate them fully to ensure service users are protected from the risk of harm and abuse and maximise risk mitigation and learning outcomes. Within 28 days of this condition taking effect, the Registered Provider must conduct audits, to be completed on a monthly basis, in relation to (but not limited to) the following: a) Staffing dependency levels to ensure the service has adequate numbers of staff deployed to meet service user’s needs. b) Monitoring of service users’ weight loss and the actions taken to mitigate this risk. c) Deprivation of Liberty Safeguarding Authorisations to ensure applications are submitted in a timely manner and that specified conditions are met. d) Assessments of service user risks are robust and up to date. e) Analysis of falls includes detailed root cause analysis and provides learning to mitigate and reduce risks. f) The home environment is clean and odour free and any issues relating to the odour and hygiene of carpets and flooring are dealt with in a timely manner. g) Monitoring of checks to ensure service users are safe and well, and associated guidance for staff is clear and supports service users to call for assistance independently where possible.
Within 28 days of this condition taking effect, the Registered Provider must submit a report detailing what action has been taken to comply with the above condition. On the first Monday of every month thereafter, the Registered Provider must send to the Care Quality Commission a report outlining the outcomes of their monthly audits. This report must summarise audit findings, the improvement actions to be taken, who is responsible for these and timescales for completion.
Terms of this registration relating to carrying out this regulated activity
The Registered Provider must only accommodate a maximum of 80 service users at Clare Court Care Home.
