During a routine inspection
The records showed systems of assessment, care planning, risk assessment, monitoring and review were all in place.
We observed interactions between staff and people who use the service who called into the office to collect medicines, make payments or ask about something they were concerned about. The interactions were relaxed and comfortable. We met people who use the service whilst being shown where they lived. One person who was happy to show us his room said he was 'ok with the service'. Another person did not want to be disturbed and staff respected this. A third person had just woken up and did not want to talk but said he had 'no complaints'.
A commissioner of the service told us the service worked well in partnership with them and they were very satisfied with the service provided to people.
The project is responsible for the building where people live. Some parts of the living areas needed some attention. We were informed that the service is due to relocate and a date has been agreed for people with higher dependency needs to move. There were no definite plans for relocating people with lower support needs who were living in parts of the house where there are risks to the health and safety of users.
