During an inspection in response to concerns
On the day of our inspection the service was supporting 53 people.
We spoke with the company director, the registered manager, staff in the office and two care staff visiting the office. We met with three people in their own homes who used the service. We also contacted a commissioner of domiciliary care services from KARE PLUS.
On the day of inspection we reviewed policies, care records, medication records, staff personnel files, including recruitment and training records, together with a range of other relevant documentation.
We observed that people were treated with respect and service users confirmed to us that they were fully consulted about and involved in their own care.
People told us that they were very happy and satisfied with the care and support that they received. One person who used the service told us; "I feel very comfortable with the service and all the staff are very good. If ever I have anything to be 'sorted out' I just phone the office."
We saw that medication was managed correctly.
Staff appointment and management procedures were followed and proper records made which helped to keep people safe. Training, support and supervision enabled staff to deliver care to an appropriate standard
People's health, welfare and safety were monitored.
