During a routine inspection
People told us that they were very happy with the care and treatment they received. We saw that treatments were planned and delivered safely, taking into account people's wishes. Risks associated with the surgical procedure were explained to people in a way that they could understand. Detailed information was provided to each person when they left the service describing common post -surgery symptoms and advice regarding recovery.
People were protected against the risks associated with medicines. There were appropriate arrangements for ensuring that medicines were handled, administered and disposed of safely. People's medical condition and medicines prescribed were assessed so as to identify any risks or complications in relation to the planned surgical procedure.
The premises were safe and suitable to meet the needs of people using the service.
There were sufficient numbers of staff employed at the service to safely and effectively meet people's needs.
The service had appropriate arrangements for ensuring that people were provided with information about their rights and how to raise complaints or concerns.
