During a routine inspection
As part of this inspection we spoke with the registered manager, service co-ordinator, four staff and four people who used the service.
People lived in their own flats at St Peters Court and if they wished, could purchase care from the staff based there. Staff were available 24 hours a day.
We found that people were treated with respect and people who used the service told us they enjoyed living at the scheme. One person said: 'The staff are very nice and helpful'. Another person told us: 'I'm looked after well ' I feel safe here'.
We found that some improvements were required to the care records to provide sufficient information for staff on how to meet the needs of the people who used the service.
We saw that systems were in place to ensure that medication was stored and administered in a safe way.
We were shown appropriate systems for monitoring and assessing the quality of the service provided.
We found there was a robust system in place to deal with comments and complaints for the benefit of the people who used the service. We found that people's complaints had been fully investigated and where possible, resolved to their satisfaction.
