Progress Pathways Domiciliary Care is a small domiciliary care agency that has been providing support to people who use their service for a short period of time prior to this inspection.Relatives of people who used the service who we spoke with told us that they were happy with the support their relative received from staff members. One relative told us that they were, 'Exceptional. They are easy to approach with any concerns and nothing is too much trouble.' Another relative told us that the support given was, 'Very good.'
Relatives who we spoke with told us that they were involved in the setting up of the support plans. They told us that communication with the provider was good and that staff respected people's choices.
We found that there were detailed support plans in place to prompt staff. However, recorded agreements over the use of restraint were not documented and one person's support plan did not include the personal care support which was being undertaken.
Effective staff recruitment and training was in place to make sure that people who used the service received safe support and care from suitable, skilled, and knowledgeable staff.
The provider showed us their plan of audits and surveys to be undertaken in the next 12 months. We saw evidence that staff met regularly to discuss any concerns or incidents that may have happened. Staff told us that these meetings were an open forum in which topics and learning from events could be discussed.
