During a routine inspection
Everyone we spoke with told us they were happy with the service they were receiving. People's comments included; "It's very good". "Perfectly happy" and "It's a fantastic service".
People told us that they had been involved in planning their support and were often asked for their views about how this was progressing. People told us that the staff were professional and polite and respected their privacy and personal property. One person said, "They put themselves out to do what they can" and a relative told us, "The staff are wonderful with my daughter".
Everyone we spoke with knew who to speak to if they had any concerns and how to make a complaint about their service if they needed to.
We also looked at some questionnaires that had been sent out by The Avenues Trust recently. These had been completed by people using the service, their relatives and by other healthcare professionals who were involved in people's care. The feedback was very positive and comments included; "The three men that looked after X were excellent". "We are extremely happy with the support we get". "Avenues support has been second to none". "I cannot fault the service. Their specialism, expertise and professional approach are appreciated by my team and me" and "Dad enjoyed your team looking after him and you certainly provided reassurance to us".
