Effective systems were in place to reduce the risk and spread of infection. The service was clean, hygienic and well maintained. Infection control guidelines were being followed by all staff and they had completed regular training in infection control to minimise cross infection risks.
Staff received appropriate professional development to carry out their job roles effectively. This included an induction programme when they started with the service, annual appraisals and regular training. This meant they were qualified and able to meet the needs of the people who use the service.
