During a routine inspection
People were encouraged to give feedback about the service provided. We sampled a number of compliments and comments surveys. We found very positive feedback about all aspects of the service. Comments included: "Much better location, more organised", "Really helpful staff", "Staff have been great" and "This is an excellent service".
The centre had a number of consultation rooms and a nurse's treatment room. There was also a needle exchange room, which was securely managed. We found these rooms to be fit for purpose.
We sampled four care records. We found these were maintained in a neat and chronological order. We found a comprehensive initial assessment and medical intervention proforma had been completed. Each person had a recovery plan and treatment outcome profile (TOP) in place.
We found the service had current and comprehensive safeguarding policies and procedures. There were two safeguarding leads identified, who worked closely with key workers when any issues had been identified or escalation of concerns was required.
We sampled three staff files and found these demonstrated staff received professional development and support. Staff training was up to date.
Addaction St Helens had appropriate systems in place to assess and monitor the service provision.
