During a routine inspection
We spoke with two relatives of people that used the service. They visited the service regularly and they told us 'The atmosphere is always good and the staff keep us well informed'.
We spoke with two staff members that worked for the service. They told us that they felt well supported in their roles and that they received regular supervision. One staff member told us 'You'd really struggle to find a place where people care more, everybody here really does care about the residents'.
We found that people's needs had been assessed and a care plan had been put in place to ensure that their needs were met. We saw that risks associated with people's care had been assessed and measures had been put in place to reduce the risks. We had concerns that the actions taken to reduce risks had not always been recorded.
We found that there were audits of the service carried out and that a questionnaire to obtain feedback about the service had recently been completed. We had concerns that actions taken in response to the survey and audits were not always being recorded.
