During a routine inspection
We were told that staff were knowledgeable and experienced, and they treated them with respect and dignity. Comments expressed to us included, "Each test was explained very clearly" and, "Staff were very polite and professional." One person said, "It was good that they were interested and responded to my questions."
Staff were knowledgeable about the health assessment needs of each person attending appointments and completed medical records to support the procedures undertaken. A person who attended for an assessment at the time of our visit said, "Tests were explained and I was asked for my consent." This same person said "I felt welcomed and acknowledged; it was a nice calm atmosphere."
There were arrangements in place to safeguard people and staff were aware of the procedures to follow in the event of a safeguarding concern being identified. Staff said they had access to training and development and we saw information to support this.
There were systems in place to gather feedback on the service from people who had attended, as well as systems to monitor the quality of service, with action taken if required to improve areas.
