During a routine inspection
Our review of four out of 15 people's plans of care demonstrated to us that people's care and support information was detailed, person centred and accurate. Staff we observed supporting people knew the person well and were able to provide the support the person needed.
One person we spoke with said, "The staff are all very nice. I can honestly say that they respect my dignity every time they visit me."
We checked a sample of people's medicines administration records (MARs). We found that these contained explanations where people had refused their medication and the reason for this. Staff records we reviewed showed us that staff were trained in the safe administration of people's medicines.
The provider completed audits of people's plans of care and identified areas for improvement and where changes to people's care had been made as result of an incident such as a fall. The results of the latest 2013 customer satisfaction survey showed us that people were satisfied with the quality of care they received.
