During a routine inspection
People we spoke with told us that staff were mostly on time and always stayed for the right amount of time. One person told us that 'the staff are very good and really help me'. Another person told us that 'the staff are always laughing and joking with my relative, which is really nice to hear'. Staff told us that they followed the care plans. We found that care plans had been recently reviewed and updated. However we found that care plans contained little detail about how care and support was to be received by the person.
There was not a manager in post at the time of our inspection. Management responsibilities were being covered by the operations manager and senior carer. The operations manager and staff were aware of their responsibilities regarding protecting people from abuse. People we spoke with said they had confidence in their care and felt safe with the support provided. We saw records which showed some staff had received training in this area.
Staff we spoke with told us that they received regular supervision and felt supported by senior management.
