During a routine inspection
During our visit we spoke with the registered manager. Following our visit, we spoke with four people who used the service and with the relatives of four people. We also spoke with three members of staff.
People and their relatives were happy with the support being delivered and told us that they usually had the same care staff who arrived when they expected them to. One person told us, 'The carers are very good, I get the same one most mornings.' Another person told us, 'They always ring if they are going to be late.'
Staff recruitment records showed that new staff had been checked to make sure they were suitable to work with vulnerable people.
The provider was able to protect people from unsafe care and treatment by regularly assessing and monitoring the quality of the service provided.
People were not always protected from the risks of unsafe or inappropriate care and treatment because accurate and appropriate records were not always maintained.
