Date of assessment 20 June 2024 to 11 July 2024 The service provides accommodation and personal care to people with learning disabilities and autistic people. At the time of our assessment there were 11 people living at the service. We carried out this assessment as a response to concerns raised at 1 of the provider’s other locations. We assessed a total of 14 quality statements from the safe, effective, caring, responsive and well-led key questions. The scores for these areas have been combined with scores based on the key question ratings from the last inspection. We expect health and social care providers to guarantee people with a learning disability and autistic people respect, equality, dignity, choices and independence and good access to local communities that most people take for granted. ‘Right support, right care, right culture’ is the guidance CQC follows to make assessments and judgements about services supporting people with a learning disability and autistic people and providers must have regard to it.

People's experience of the service

People were supported to understand safeguarding and how to keep safe although risk assessments were not always carried out or did not contain enough information to enable consistent support. People were supported by enough qualified, skilled and experienced staff to ensure care was provided in a safe way that met their individual needs. People told us they could do what they wanted, when they wanted and were empowered to make decisions. They told us staff respected their decisions and they were supported to be independent and in control of their lives. People accessed their community often and had developed meaningful relationships with members of the public. Feedback was sought through accessible forms that enabled people to express their views.
