During a routine inspection
On the day of our inspection we were unable to speak with people using the services. However, we reviewed the 'Patient Opinion' website which is a place where people can give anonymous feedback on the service they have received. The website is independent of the NHS and not for profit.
Feedback from people who visited the service included: 'The service is good.' They said they were given clear advice and everything was explained to them.
The staff we spoke with showed a good awareness of the needs of the people who used the service.
The service was provided in line with published research and good practice guidelines such as those from 'The Management of Sexually Transmitted Infections' (STIs) in relation to open access and self-referral for people; 'The National Screening Programme Core Requirements (2010)' and the Department of Health's guidance relating to consent.
