During a routine inspection
We spoke with two people who used the service. They told us they understood the care and treatment choices available to them. They said they were fully involved in decisions about their treatment and their dentist was very good at explaining the treatment options available.
People we spoke with told us they were happy with the service they received and that staff were very supportive and understanding in meeting their individual needs'. One person said, 'I have a phobia about needles. They're brilliant, the dental nurse held me and that put me at ease. They're very understanding.' Another person said, 'I was so nervous today but the dentist was brilliant they talked me through every stage and that helped a lot.'
We looked at the feedback from 18 people who had returned a survey to the practice since April 2013. These showed that people reported high levels of satisfaction with the practice.
People were treated in a clean, hygienic environment. People we spoke with told us that they had no concerns with the hygiene within the practice.
People were cared for, or supported by suitably qualified, skilled and experienced staff. Appropriate checks had been undertaken before staff were employed by the practice.
There was an effective system to regularly assess and monitor the quality of service that people received.
