People's experience of the service

Two weeks before our on-site assessment, we asked the practice to encourage patients to share their views of the service with us. We received feedback from 3 patients.
Patient feedback provided a positive view of the dental team and care provided by the practice. Comments included, “Gwynne Dental were professional and attentive from start to finish. From reminders when my check-up was due, to the greeting on arrival at the practice and the full service once in the dentist chair”.
“I was given a full check-up examination and following this advised on future areas to be aware of. This included a filling which I was given a very clear quote for the work to be carried out. While the filling was not pressing, we decided to get it done in the short-term and the team booked in a follow up appointment within three weeks”.
“Everyone I have met at the practice has been friendly, professional and warm. The practice itself is always clean, as welcoming as a dental surgery can be. They appear to be well equipped with modern technology, aimed at providing the best care for their patients”.
On the day of our assessment, we gathered patient feedback from a further 10 patients.
Patients commented positively about the standards of cleanliness. They told us they were able to book appointments within an acceptable timescale for their needs and that they had enough time during their appointment without feeling rushed. When they were prescribed medicines, patients felt that sufficient information was given. Patients also felt they were supported to maintain their oral health and were provided with appropriate information and resources.
The practice shared patient feedback with the team. We were told this was reviewed and where suggestions had been made, appropriate action would be taken.
