Condition of this registration relating to carrying out this regulated activity
No later than 28 days after this condition comes into effect, the Registered Provider must:
a. Ensure each physical intervention incident is recorded in detail to demonstrate the duration of the physical restraint as well as the overall duration of the incident.
b. Ensure physical intervention records identify the de-escalation strategies implemented prior to the decision to intervene physically.
c. Ensure physical intervention records identify the position of the named staff and the technique they used.
d. Establish and implement systems to regularly monitor and review the approach to and use of restraint and restrictive practices.
e. Send the Care Quality Commission an action plan/ written report regarding the progress.
No later than 28 days after this condition comes into effect, the registered provider
must:
a. Ensure each Service User has a person-centred support plan which details
their specific needs, routines, rituals and the use of physical intervention.
b. Ensure each Service User’s support plan is regularly audited and remains
accurate and up to date.
c. Send the Care Quality Commission an action plan/ written report regarding
progress.
No later than 28 days after this condition comes into effect, the registered provider
must have effective audit systems in place to ensure they have oversight of people’s
plans and records.
a. Audit systems are to be established and conducted on service users care plans
and risk assessments, to ensure information is up to date, accurate and measures
are put in place to reduce risks.
b. Send the Care Quality Commission a report/ action plan detailing the audits in
place and the frequency of completion.
No later than 28 days after this condition comes into effect, the registered provider
must ensure PRN protocols are person-centred and detailed with the specific behaviours
displayed by service users to underpin the administration of PRN medication.
No later than 28 days after this condition comes into effect, the registered provider
must have effective audit systems in place to ensure they have oversight of recruitment.
Terms of this registration relating to carrying out this regulated activity
The registered provider must not provide nursing care under accommodation for persons who require nursing or personal care at Sandford Road.
The registered provider must only accommodate a maximum of 6 service users at Sandford Road.
