Our view of the service
Date of assessment 15 November 2024. Dr Salam J Farhan is an NHS GP practice located in Partington, Manchester in an area of high deprivation. There were approximately 3655 people registered with the service at the time of our assessment. We assessed all quality statements across the safe, effective, caring, responsive and well led key questions. This service has been in Special Measures since November 2023. The provider demonstrated improvements that have been made throughout all the quality statements. The service is no longer rated as inadequate overall or in any of the key questions. Therefore, this service is no longer in Special Measures.
People's experience of this service
People were overall very positive about the quality of their care and treatment. Recent survey results, including those from the most recent National GP Patient Survey and the NHS Friends and Family test showed that people were satisfied with the services offered. There was a small patient participation group (PPG) which was being improved to represent the views of all people using the service. We spoke to a representative who was very positive about how the practice interacted with the PPG. The practice manager was a member of other community groups within Partington and had a desire to improve communication about the services available at the practice for all the people of Partington.
