During a routine inspection

We visited the providers London offices that are located in Wallington and one property situated in Tooting where five people who received Options supported living services resided. We used a number of different methods to help us understand the experiences of people using the service, because not everyone was able to communicate with us. We met four people who received supported living services from Options and spoke with two of them.

People told us they were happy with the care and/or support they received in their own home from Options agency. People also told us they felt the supported living staff that visited them in their own home were always kind and helpful. One person said 'I am happy with the service I get here', and another person told us 'I like the staff that come to my house to help me'.

During our visit we saw people who received supported living services looked well cared for and were actively supported to be as independent as possible. We also saw staff treated everyone with respect and courtesy.

It was evident that people received continuous care and/or support from suitably trained and experienced staff that were familiar with people's individual needs and preferences.

We also found the provider had a satisfactory quality assurance system in place which ensured the supported living service was maintained to a good standard and improvements were made as necessary.
