Date of assessment 22 March to 15 April 2024. The inspection was prompted in part by a notification of an unexpected death of a person using the service. The information shared with CQC about the incident indicated potential concerns about the management of risk regarding medicines optimisation. This inspection examined those risks. We have rated the practice good overall. During our assessment we found systems and processes were in place to ensure safe care and treatment was provided to the practice population. However, in some circumstances risks were not fully considered and mitigated within the providers policies and procedures for medicines but, staff knew the processes undertaken.
