During a routine inspection
We spoke with nine people who used the service, or who had relatives who used the service. People told us they were happy with the care provided. One person told us "I'm very happy." Another person told us "They are very good."
We saw care plans were signed by the person who received care, or their relatives. We saw care plans were reviewed and updated a minimum of once a year. We saw care plans were tailored to support people's individual needs.
We found that people who used the service were protected from the risk of abuse because the agency had policies and procedures in place to identify the signs of abuse and respond to concerns of abuse.
We saw staff were recruited using a robust recruitment procedure. Staff files contained copies of identification documents, references, employment history and criminal records bureau (CRB) checks now known as disclosure and barring checks.
Records we looked at showed the agency had systems in place to monitor the quality of the service provided. We saw frequent audits were conducted to identify areas that could be improved.
