Our view of the service
Date of assessment 28 August 2024. Clipstone Hall and Lodge is a ‘care home’ providing personal care and support to older people and younger adults and people living with dementia. At the time of assessment, the service was supporting 60 people with their personal care needs. Clipstone Hall and Lodge was last rated Good (published 15 April 2024). This assessment has been completed following the Care Quality Commission (CQC) new approach to assessment; Single Assessment Framework (SAF). The service had made improvements and is no longer in breach of regulations. Staffing levels now consistently supported people to remain safe.
People's experience of this service
People received safe and responsive care that was in line with their wishes. People told us they were included in their care planning by kind and compassionate staff. Overall people told us they had a positive experience living at Clipstone Hall and Lodge and that improvements had been made to staffing levels which had increased staff availability. However, some people commented there was a notable difference between agency and permanent staff members.
