During a routine inspection
Patients' needs were assessed and their care and treatment was planned and delivered in line with their individual care and treatment plan. One patient told us, "They have patience. I am being looked after perfectly.'
Patients who used the service were safeguarded against the risk of abuse because the provider had responded appropriately to concerns about patients at risk of abuse. Patient's felt safe within the hospital. Everyone we spoke with told us that they felt safe on the ward. One patient told us, 'I feel safe here.'
Patients who used the service told us that at times there were not enough staff to meet patients' needs. One patient told us, 'They could do with an extra person to answer call bells and help someone like me to go to the toilet.'
The trust had an effective system to regularly assess and monitor the quality of service that patients received.
We saw that patient records were not always completed with sufficient detail to ensure care provision was safe and appropriate for each individual.
