During a routine inspection
People told us that they were pleased with the care they received at the hospital. They spoke highly of the staff, describing them as 'very helpful', 'nice and friendly' and 'good at their jobs'.
We saw that people were being encouraged to be as independent as possible. Staff offered people choices, such as what they would like to drink and where they would like to sit.
Staff had a good knowledge and understanding of each person's needs. People told us that staff were approachable and that they did not usually have to wait if they needed assistance. Some records did not give an accurate picture of the care that had been provided.
People knew how to raise any concerns and were confident that they would be listened to and that action would be taken.
