Terms of this registration relating to carrying out this regulated activity
The registered provider must ensure that the regulated activity Personal care is managed by an individual who is registered as a manager in respect of that activity at or from all locations.
The Registered Provider must send the Commission a report within seven days of the date this condition comes into effect, detailing the individual roles and responsibilities within their governance structure and how they will ensure these are being carried out in line with their requirements.
The Registered Provider must within 14 days of the date this condition comes into effect, provide staff including all senior staff with training in:
a) Incident reporting, management and investigation;
b) Safeguarding service users from the risk of abuse;
c) Medication management.
The Registered Provider must within seven days of completion of the training, send a report to the Commission which includes:
a) Details of the training provided;
b) The name of who provided the training as well as their qualifications and skills;
c) How assurance has been obtained to ensure staff are competent in
these areas.
The Registered Provider must send the Commission a report within seven days following the employment of any new staff member, detailing what preemployment checks have been undertaken and how the Registered Provider considers the checks undertaken demonstrate compliance with Regulation 19 of the Health and Social Care Act 2008 (Regulated Activities) Regulations 2014.
The Registered Provider must provide the Commission with a report within 14 days from the date at which this condition comes into effect and thereafter on the first Monday of each month, detailing all incidents that were reported the preceding month. This must include incidents in relation to actual or alleged abuse, medication errors and any incidents that may be a risk to a service user’s safety. The report must detail what action was taken in response to the incident and if appropriate, any lessons learnt to improve the quality of care provided in the future.
