The registered provider must not admit any new service users to Fosse Court, 207 – 211 Fosse Road North, Leicester, Leicestershire, LE3 5EZ without the prior written agreement of the CQC.
The registered provider must instruct a fire safety expert to conduct a fire risk assessment of Fosse Court, 207 – 211 Fosse Road North, Leicester, Leicestershire, LE3 5EZ. The risk assessment must be completed by 28 February 2020. The registered provider must by 6 March 2020 provide CQC with documentary evidence of the risk assessment having been undertaken and the dates by which any necessary recommendations from the risk assessment will be completed.
The registered provider must carry out a risk assessment regarding premises and equipment and take the necessary action to ensure:
a) all manual handling equipment is LOLER certified;
b) the call bell system is audible in all parts of the service;
c) all exposed pipe work is concealed;
d) All furniture is risk assessed and secured to walls where appropriate e.g. wardrobes and radiator covers;
e) clear signage is installed throughout the service;
f) that the service has an asbestos management plan and an asbestos risk register;
g) locks are fitted to en-suites to prevent double access; and
h) all stairwells are safe for service user use and compliant with the Health and Safety Executive’s guidance ‘Reducing the risk of falls on stairs’ https://www.hse.gov.uk/healthservices/slips/reducing-risks-stairs.htm
