Our view of the service
Date of Assessment: 9 December 2024 to 3 January 2025. The service is a care at home service providing support to adults living in their own homes. The provider had a good learning culture and people could raise concerns. Managers investigated incidents thoroughly. People were protected and kept safe. Staff understood and managed risks. There were enough staff with the right skills, qualifications and experience. Managers made sure staff received training and regular appraisals to maintain high-quality care. Staff managed medicines well and involved people in planning any changes. People had access to healthcare professionals and staff ensured their advice was followed. People and their relatives spoke highly of the care and support they received and felt involved in planning their care. Systems were in place to monitor the service, and the management team led the service well.
People's experience of this service
People and their relatives were complimentary about the service they received. People told us they were involved in setting up their support plans. One relative said, “We have regular reviews and visits just to ensure that the standard is always high and needs are being met.” People and their relatives told us staff treated them with dignity and respect and were kind and caring. People told us their care was personalised and reflected their needs and choices. One person said, “Each and every member of the care team are excellent.” People and their relatives told us the management team were approachable and felt they were listened to. One relative said, “Any problems are dealt with at once.”
