People and relatives were complimentary about the care and support they received. One person said, “I can still live how I want to and take myself out to Sainsburys or the Spa whenever I want to.” Another person explained how they enjoyed going out on some trips and joining in and said, “They (staff) always try and encourage me to take part in things but leave me if I say I don’t want to.” A further person told us, “The people here are all very nice and thoughtful. They will go out of their way to be sociable and encourage us to take part in things. I have made some nice friends here and we can sit and have a chat together.” A relative said, “They (staff) really have done an amazing job with [person] and they would not be here now if it wasn’t for them (staff). They have transformed their mental and physical state and [person] is thriving now better than we ever thought. [Person] quality of life is probably the best it could be.” Another relative said, “If anything changes regarding [person] health or just general condition, they (staff) inform us immediately and always refer [person] to the appropriate health care provider. They are very efficient.”
