Well-led
The registered manager ensured a positive culture in the staff team and acted to continuously improve the service. Staff supported people in a person-centred way. Leaders supported staff and collaborated with partners to deliver care that was safe and person-centred. There were quality assurance and monitoring systems in the service. The registered manager used those systems effectively to drive improvement.

The registered manager and nominated individual had created and developed a positive culture which put people at the heart of the service. Staff spoke positively about the leadership team. Staff took pride in delivering person-centred care to people and making a difference for them. Management respected staff, and staff wellbeing and work/life balance was considered paramount. The provider used systems to gather staff’s views about the service. They asked staff to complete a staff survey to share their views of the service and how they are supported. We saw when care staff visited the office the care staff and management had genuine interactions and good rapport.
The provider had processes in place to communicate the direction and reinforce the culture of the organisation such as regular team meetings and regular supervision meetings. The provider had policies in place to support inclusion for staff and people who use the service. The provider had a strategy and vision for the service which outlined plans for future growth of the service. This included regularly reviewing the culture of the service and addressing any future staffing shortages.
