We carried out this on-site, announced assessment on 4 November 2024.
We found the practice had met all regulations.
Recruitment procedures reflected current legislation and there was effective leadership and a culture of continuous improvement.
Patients were treated with dignity and respect and at the time of our assessment, could access care, support and treatment when required.
Patients’ care and treatment was provided in line with current guidance and infection control procedures were in place.
The practice had systems to manage risks.
The practice is in Warwick and provides private dental care and treatment for adults and children.
A portable ramp is available for people with a pushchair or those who use a wheelchair to gain access to the practice. Car parking spaces, including dedicated parking for disabled people, were available near the practice.
The practice had 2 treatment rooms. During the assessment we spoke with 1 dentist, 1 dental nurse, 1 receptionist and the practice manager.

Two weeks before our onsite assessment, we asked the practice to encourage patients to share their views of the service with us. We received feedback from 22 patients. On the day of our assessment, we received written patient feedback from 2 patients. Patient feedback provided a positive view of the dental team and care provided by the practice.
Patients commented positively about the standards of cleanliness. Patients said, “Clean environment and facilities” and “Everything and everywhere in the office is always so clean”.
Patients felt able to book appointments within an acceptable timescale for their needs and said they had enough time during their appointment without feeling rushed. We were told, “Routine check-ups are always on time, thorough and any issues are always identified and resolved. Any urgent issues have always been responded to and emergency appointments accessible when required” and “Appointments are always available for emergency care. This is an outstanding provision”.
Patients told us they were given clear information to help them make an informed choice about their treatment and any associated costs. They were involved in decisions about their care. We were told; “Clear pricing provided ahead of appointment. Staged approach to dental problems and not rushing decision making. Good explanations allow patient to make informed decisions”, “All treatments are explained fully before being undertaken and I have the utmost faith in both Dentist and the team” and “My Dentist always takes time over the appointment and explains what is happening and gives me any necessary information in a straightforward manner. He is extremely professional but also friendly.”
Patients told us that when they were prescribed medicines, sufficient information was given.
Patients told us that they were supported to maintain their oral health and were provided with appropriate information and resources.
