Our view of the service
Dr Sinnadurai Thillinathan (Arnos Grove Surgery) is an NHS GP practice in North London. The practice is located in an area of high deprivation. There were approximately 8200 patients registered with the service at the time of the assessment. We conducted this assessment to follow up on a previous rating of requires improvement for safe and responsive. For this assessment we looked at quality statements for safe and responsive. We have combined the scores for these areas with scores from the last inspection. At this assessment, we found there was a strong focus on safety and saw that concerns were investigated appropriately. Medicines management processes were effective and the practice was responsive to the patient population it serves.
People's experience of this service
People were positive about the quality of their care and treatment. Recent survey results, including from the National GP Patient survey, NHS Friends and Family Test and the practice's own patient survey, showed people were satisfied with services for areas of practice where people were less satisfied, the practice had implemented action plans for improvement. There was an active patient participation group (PPG) who met regularly to represent the views of people using the service.
