This included 12 people’s care records, multiple medication records and clinical records. We looked at records relating to the management of the service and people’s safety, such as checks on the premises and people’s personal emergency evacuation plans. We looked at audits and checks undertaken by the manager and provider’s representatives about the quality of the care provided. We identified 3 breaches of regulation in relation to training, involving people to manage risks and good governance. Some staff had either not completed or updated training in some key areas and restrictions had not been assessed or recorded appropriately. There were shortfalls in the governance and management oversight of staff training and recording appropriate restrictions in place at St Lukes Care Home.
